About the Airline Economics 40 under 40:
Airline Economics first published its 40 under 40 list of talented executives working in the aviation leasing and financing industry in 2016. Both under 40 at the time, the owners of the magazine Philip & Victoria Tozer-Pennington and Dino D’Amore, with a little prompting from the industry, decided to launch the initiative to recognise younger individuals working in aviation, which has traditionally been dominated by a more seasoned generation. Individuals must be nominated to be considered. Individuals are short-listed based on endorsements received from the industry and their career achievements to date. The final decision for the 40 under 40 is taken by the editorial team. Airline Economics awards the Future Leader award to the individual with the most impressive nominations from clients. In 2020, we added the Highly Commended designation to recognise those whose supporting nominations impressed the editorial team. Nominations for the 2025 group will open in March 2025.
