Industry Recognizes Top Leaders in Commercial Aviation
Mike Bianco, CEO of AvAir, an industry-leading inventory solutions provider for the aviation aftermarket, has been named to Airline Economics’ “CEO of the Year” List. Bianco was ranked five out of the 10 CEOs on the list.
The 2023 list is comprised of the industry’s leading talent. The CEO of the Year is judged on the performance of the company over the past 12 months, personal involvement with deals, expansions, agreements and suppliers. Recipients of the award are nominated via votes cast by clients and colleagues. Bianco has been named to the list two years in a row and was also one of Airline Economics’ ‘40 Under 40 recipients in 2020.

Bianco has a long and unique history with AvAir. He began in 2020 working in the warehouse shipping and receiving parts. During his time with the company, he has held many positions, including director of sales, vice president and president. Bianco’s changing roles over the last 20 years at AvAir gives him a unique perspective to understand the inner workings of the company and industry. The company has celebrated great growth under his direction and was also awarded the Parts Supplier of the Year for the past three years by Airline Economics.
